Job Description
A well-established chartered accountancy practice with a stable existing team have a hybrid opportunity for a Semi Senior Accountant. You must have a background within chartered accountancy! Experience working in Practise is essential for this role!
The ideal person will be confident communicating with a varied and large portfolio of Clients, from sole traders, through to million-pound companies, and enjoy building relationships.
The role would suit someone ACCA/ACA part qualified/qualified.
Salary is very flexible depending on your experience, ranging from GBP20,000-GBP26,000 and a generous benefits and training package is offered!
About The Role:
· Managing a portfolio of clients
· Mentoring junior team members and assisting in their development by providing training
· Developing and maintaining excellent client relationships and become a regular contact point for clients.
· Using IRIS Practice Suite, Sage software and certain cloud based accounting softwares on behalf of clients e.g. Freeagent, Sage, Quickbooks, Xero.
· Using Company, Charity and Client money audit manuals.
· Advising on the improvement of profitability and business efficiency through continuous monitoring and by implementing effective business controls and re-systemising the client businesses.
· Reducing the burden of taxation on the businesses and their owners with good tax planning and advice.
· Actively looking to introduce new clients to the company and help promote and sell its services to prospective clients, financial institutions and the business community.
Essential Skills & Experience:
· ACCA/ACA part qualified/qualified, or QBE with experience of working within a similar role and be able to demonstrate an up to date CPD record.
· Strong knowledge of accounts with experience of working in a team within a Practice environment
· Be technically competent
· Have good time management skills
· Have good delegation skills
· Have good planning and organising skills
· Be able to communicate to people at all levels
· Have good people skills
