As a result of an increasing portfolio of projects, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cost Engineer to join the team in Warrington.

Responsibilities will include:

* Monitor, manage and report against budget, time and costs across a portfolio of task orders / sub-task orders within Axiom

* Promptly anticipate cost and time overages

* Develop and maintain a suitable cost breakdown structure within the time bookings system

* Manage booking connections, ensuring that all connections are preauthorised by the PM / Axiom Lead

* Prepare cost reports as required for the Axiom DSI and central cost/finance team

* Collate forecast information

* Check expense claims and ensure compliance with the Axiom and SL expense guidelines

* Prepare accurate payment applications and ensure that approval to invoice is provided prior to period end

* Check and approve subcontractor invoices

* Input of actual cost data to monthly Axiom target cost / portfolio reports

* Facilite new starter accounts

* Close out task orders on completion

* Assist the project team and wider Axiom team with ad hoc support

* Interface with the engineering team, central team, client and subcontractors

Requirements

* Experience working in a fast-paced project environment

* Previous exposure to project controls, accounting or finance

* Proficient user of Excel

* Proactive approach

* Focus on delivering work on time and within budget
