Job Description
Semi Senior/Senior Accountant**
Hours: Monday to Friday 9.30am-5pm.
Location: Halifax (HX1)
Salary: £28,000 to £35,000 (dependant on experience).
Our Halifax based accounting company are looking for a Semi Senior or Senior Accountant to join their small but busy and thriving team. The company offer their clients a bespoke and personal service, as well as value-for-money support.
Your duties would include:
* Completing tax returns.
* Preparing working papers for role trade and limited company accounts.
* Submitting small limited company accounts.
* Assisting Senior Accountants with larger company accounts preparation.
* Approving VAT returns prepared by junior staff.
* Offering colleagues support where needed.
* Dealing with HMRC for technical queries.
Job requirements:
* At least 3 years' experience in practice.
* ACCA part qualified, OR qualified by experience.
* An AAT qualification.
* Be willing and eager to learn new software such as Xero.
* An interest in tax or bookkeeping practices and processes.
