What's The Purchase Ledger Manager Role?

Based in Leicester, this Purchase Ledger Manager role will also on occasions require travel to other locations within Leicester.
Oversee the day-to-day processing within the purchase ledger department: coding, matching, and batching of invoices, posting invoices to the ledger and authorisation.
Handle queries in a timely manner, escalating where necessary.
Ensure bank postings are reconciled along with purchase ledger control accounts.
Ensure Month-end close off is adhered to within strict deadlines, including statement reconciliations and accruals.
Provide periodic reports as required.
Review processes for efficiency and accuracy and work to streamline and automate processes where appropriate.
Manage the workflow of the purchase ledger team.
Forecasting and processing of weekly BACS payments runs.
Monitoring card transactions and taking ownership of monthly reconciliations.
Maintain relationships with suppliers.
