Purchase Ledger Assistant Job in OL8, Chadderton, Borough of Oldham

Job Description
Working with my Client based in Oldham I am looking for a Purchase Ledger clerk to join a busy finance team. This role will start off as sole Purchase Ledger but as times moves on more tasks will be added to build on current skillset.

You will be working for a national, well known business in a fast paced environment – dealing with high volume invoices, reconciliations and Supplier updates.

Duties will include:

* Inputting of purchase invoices to ledger

* Cross referencing purchase invoices to ensure purchase credits are raised and sent to Supplier

* General support to wider finance function and the business as a whole

* Liaise with other departments to ensure invoices are added to ledgers in a timely manner

* Cross reference Supplier statements against invoices received

* Cross reference buying windows to ensure correct claims are being made

The successful Candidate will need to have previous experience in a similar role and ideally have AAT Level 2 as a minimum – strong communication and team skills are also needed.
