Job Description
Role: Project Accountant

Location: Grangemouth / Edinburgh

£40,000-£50,000

Introduction

We are currently recruiting for a Project Accountant to join our client's organisation who are rapidly growing within the power sector across the UK.

This position will see you working on the day-to-day financial management of the company and working with the Group Financial Controller and other project teams to deliver financial and cost information.

Roles & Responsibilities

As the Project Accountant, you will be responsible for:

The preparation of management accounts, forecasting, cost control and monitoring activities, and cash management.
The assistance with statutory, shareholder and project-specific reporting.
Supporting the group financial controller with the provision of all financial information to allow effective and strong financial management and control within the company.
The preparation of monthly management accounts including variance analysis, cash flow forecasts, detailed analysis of performance against the budgets and project-related financial matters.Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

A professional accounting qualification.
Experience working in a similar role; preferably on infrastructure or energy projects.
Strong technical accounting background with very good knowledge of IFRS.
Strong MS Excel skills and good working knowledge of other MS Office programmes.
Proficient user of IT and ERP Systems, preferably Sage software.
Ability and willingness to learn and demonstrate a track record of having successfully managed projects or assignments with significant interaction involving cross functional teams.Salary & Package
