Payroll Officer Job in Chatham, Kent

Job Description
Our client is seeking a Payroll Officer within the Finance Department in Chatham to provide the following support.

Main Duties:

* Providing a comprehensive pensions administrative service across Local Government (LGPS) Teachers and NHS pension scheme. Running monthly reports for KCC to advise them of starters, leavers and changes.

* Running monthly LGPS pension totals reports to prepare for Year End along with Teachers’ pension monthly reporting.

* Providing individual pension estimates, as required, and process in-service and out of service ill health retirement and retirement applications.

* Involvement in the Pension Auto Enrolment process.

* Assisting with monitoring and responding to queries via the pensions inbox.

* Assisting the HR, Payroll and Pension service to ensure administration is carried out on a timely basis and in line with current best practice and any other duties commensurate with the level of the post as may be agreed by your manager.

Skills and Experience:

* Knowledge of SSP, SSP1, SPP, P45's, Court Orders, Salary Sacrifice Schemes etc.

* Good keyboarding skills

* Good knowledge of MS Office

* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Hours:

Monday to Friday 9 – 5pm (paid on 37 hours per week)
