Permanent Opportunity

Network Support Engineer £50000 – £59,000 base + benefits package

Location – Bristol, hybrid (1 day per week onsite)

Harvey Nash's client is a significant player in the financial industry. We are seeking experienced Network Engineers to join an established Network & Voice team in Bristol. As a Senior Network Engineer you will be highly competent in a wide range of network technologies, confident in sharing your knowledge with your team mates, and have a supportive and collaborative mind set.

Overall your duties will include providing cutting-edge technical support for networking across several vendor solutions, such as Cisco Nexus, Meraki, Fortinet, and Citrix, as well as maintaining and keeping the equipment on the EMEA network in good working order. On top of BAU, you will be working on 2023 projects such as "wireless first", nexus, SSL VPN and Intrusion Prevention, to name a few.

Other duties:

Implementing rules and regulations pertaining to the Network & Voice environment, making sure security protocols are followed
Creating technical reports for management
Implementing firewall modification requests that have been authorized/approved
Participating in proof-of-concept and deployment activities when project teams need SME resources.

Technical expertise;

You will have a solid background in network engineering, with proven expertise in enterprise routing, switching, and wireless devices as well as corporate network administration and monitoring.
You will have solid understanding and experience in at least one of the following – Cisco Nexus, Meraki, Fortinet
Working knowledge of a sizable, technological environment.
Proactive in lifelong learning, making sure technical expertise is current, and imparting best practices to others.
