Job Description
As the Management Accountant you will provide accurate management and statutory accounting information to guide Directors and Senior Managers' decision-making across all markets. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the provision of management and financial accounting for both national and international accounts. You will proactively co-ordinate the work of the assistant management accountant team and ensure adherence to the financial controls which safeguard the financial protection of the company

Accurate and timely reporting including profit and loss account, balance sheet and cash flow, key statistics, variance analysis, overhead analysis, and commentaries
Monitor costs and budgets and inform relevant managers and the Financial Controller where spend is not as expected
Interpret and communicate financial data to non-financial managers and to provide relevant financial information and advice
Preparation of information for statutory accounts including cash flow reconciliation
Preparation of schedules for corporation tax
Balance sheet control accounts to be completed and reviewed monthly in preparation for final review
Responsibility for assistant accountants and co-ordination of work with other accountants in the team
Full understanding of all tasks carried out within the team and be able to mentor, train and advise
Responsibility for ensuring timely and accurate submission of external reports, these include; preparing information for and having a full understanding of the statutory accounts, VAT returns for all markets, intrastat on purchases, EEC 8th Directive, inland revenue submissions, Government Statistics

To be successful in this role of Management Accountant we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of:

Professional accountancy qualification (preferably CIMA)
3 years' experience as a Management Accountant
Experience with an ERP system implementation
Verbal and written French
Understanding of profit and loss, balance sheet and accounting entries and postings
Numerate and analytical
Able to work well as part of a team
Well planned and highly organised
Confidentiality and discretion
IT skills with accounting system experience
