The Location
This is based either at our Windsor Court, High Wycombe office or Birmingham office. The role does also allow for hybrid/flexible working.
The Role
As Management Accountant, your role will combine accounting and business management skills. Looking to the future, analysing the performance of the business and advising on how to prevent problems, adapt to changing circumstances and improve value.
This role offers significant investment in development of processes in the short term but longer term, there are likely to be other opportunities to develop your skills and experience.
The area of responsibility would require expertise in management accounts analysis, journals, reconciliations etc. to cover;
– P&L/BS reconciliations
– Management reporting/ERP mapping
– SOX campaign
– Cash Flow analysis
– Commission schemes
– Budget preparation/Central allocations
– Act vs Bud cost centres
– Fixed Assets
– Invoice coding
– Commercial support
– Ad hoc tasks as required
Other Key Responsibilities;
*
Be responsible or support the production, follow-up and analyse of the BU P&L, balance Sheet and treasury schedules.
*
Be responsible or support the production and follow-up of the budgets and forecasts including the departments under your responsibility
*
Be a point of contact for other departments including AP and AR.
*
Be a point of contact for the finance department, liaising with managers from various departments to answer queries and help in the building of their budgets/understanding their P&L’s
*
Support the internal control including some spot checks audits.
*
P&L/BS reconciliations, XRT Mapping, SOX campaign, Cash Flow analysis, Commission schemes, Budget preparation, Central Budget allocations, Act vs Bud cost centres, Fixed Assets, Invoice coding.
The Person
· 5 GCSE Grade 9-4 (A*-C) or equivalent including English and Maths.
· Finance / Accounting degree and being qualified for CIMA or ACCA – recently qualified person or a part qualified with high level of experience.
· Expertise in management accounts analysis, journals, reconciliation.
· Previous working experience in a finance department of a company, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
· Ability to collect and summarise information.
· Being autonomous.
· Good organisational skills with an eye for detail and the ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks.
· Ability to work in a cohesive motivated team.
· Ability to work to tight deadlines, collating relevant data as well as the preparation and entry of accounting journals.
· Good communication skills with the ability to understand others needs and express information in a clear and concise manner.
· Ability to build and work on Excel / Google sheet. And / or knowledge in data warehouse tools.
· Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and / or Google Suite
