Job Description
Our client, a successful and well established business based near Attleborough, are seeing an experienced and motivated Management Accountant to join their close knit finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a varied role in which they can utilise and build on existing skills.

This role offers a fantastic amount of flexibility and the successful candidate could work from home up to 4 days per week.

Reporting to the Finance Director key responsibilities include:

– Preparation of monthly management accounts- Meet with management to discuss the monthly management accounts to ensure that they are accurate, and the financial position is understood. Agree actions as required with management to address issues identified during the review process.

– Preparing and filing quarterly VAT returns- Prepare and file the quarterly VAT returns for each company by the end of the month prior to the relevant date that payment is required.

– Preparing monthly payroll journals- Analytically review the monthly payrolls, ensuring that movements from prior month are explainable, that there are no duplicate payments and that bank details for new joiners agree to forms completed by the employee

– Assisting with budgets and reforecasting- Updating budget/reforecast template input files with year to date actuals and prior year actuals and current year budgets.

Required Experience and qualifications:

– Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA,ACA or equivalent) however part qualified/AAT qualified candidates will be considered

– Competent using Microsoft Office including Excel and Word

– Advanced Excel skills required

– Experience of using Sage 200, desirable but not essential

– Recent management accounting experience
