Job Description
Robert Walters are excited to be partnering with a leading PLC in the heart of Manchester City Centre. We are looking for a driven Junior Finance Business Partner to join an established finance team, reporting to internal stakeholders and the senior leadership team.

In this role, you will be a key member in supporting performance insights and reporting across the business. You will be consolidating reporting outputs, as well as partnering with other business teams to identify any risks or opportunities that may have a financial impact, and add those into company forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans. In this role, you will interpret data, ordering and assessing its value before presenting and comparing it with external competitors in the industry, in order to make optimal business decisions.

Key responsibilities:

Work closely with key business leaders to deliver detailed and accurate reports, financial plans, and insightful analysis to influence day to day decisions, shaping strategy and the direction of the business
Consolidate reporting inputs and tell the story of the overall performance in a compelling way
Support communication with the leadership teams to make sure they can make well informed decisions that improve business performance and helping to tell the story of performance
Consolidate the period results, understanding key variances and the impact it has on overall financial statements
Draw on 'big' and 'small' data, selecting the appropriate tools to manipulate, analyse and interpret it to the senior leadership team
Make sure any risk and opportunities are identified and embedded into future forecasts, presenting any financial impacts they might have
Support the weekly and monthly performance reporting
Communicating and building relationships with key partners across the business
Look out for any new techniques and methodologies to improve insights and regularly report on any changes to the external economic marketKey Skills Preferred:

Professionally qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or in the final stages of working towards one
Previous experience working closely with the FP&A Team to deliver reports and provide insight
Experience working with budgets and forecasts (P&Ls, balance sheets, cash flow etc.)
The ability to produce strong presentations and tell a story through data
Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to present to financial and non-financial partners, challenging and influencing where necessary This is an exciting opportunity to join a commercial organisation with a purpose beyond profit.
