Job Description
We are currently looking to recruit a proactive and ambitious individual to join our rural client accounting team based in Shrewsbury as a Junior Client Accounts Assistant. This is a great opportunity who would like to develop a career within client accounting. The team manages the collection of rents on behalf of individual landlords, paying them over in a smooth and timely fashion. Additionally, the post holder will help to ensure the delivery of the highest level of service to internal and external stakeholder.
MAIN TASKS:
* Assisting with the daily receipt processing and payment routines
* Inputting supplier invoices
* Processing deposit return forms
* Demand and collection of other income
* Carrying out all administrative and ad hoc duties in connection with the role.
* Ensuring systems are updated on a timely and accurate basis to enable other departments within the organisation to manage effectively.
* Having a have a good overall understanding of leases and general management of your portfolio of clients.
* Developing and maintaining knowledge of any legislation particular to your portfolio of clients.
* Supporting other members of the client accounting team and providing cover in periods of absence of other team members.
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION
To be successful in this role, you have strong administration skills, a good eye for numbers and high attention to detail. You will have sound interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate accounts issues to non-accounting people. Ideally, you will have gained some prior experience in a similar role and will have good working knowledge of IT systems and Microsoft Office packages.
