IT Portfolio Analyst Job in Glasgow

Job Description
Our client Scottish Power are currently recruiting for an IT Portfolio Analyst based in Glasgow City Centre.

The role is a contract role and we are ideally looking for someone from a financial background.

The primary purpose of the role is to provide:
•Support the IT department with managing the capital project portfolio including business case approvals through the various stakeholders, committees, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
•Production of monthly financial reporting packs with high level variance
•Maintaining Capital business plans
•Manage SAP Availability control to enable projects to have the correct funding available.

Accountability Statements:
•Manage and facilitate the UK IT Investment committee including issuing documents, agenda, actions, and minute taking.
•Responsible for ensuing all business cases are socialised and approved by UK business departments, control functions and global stakeholders before submitting to the global IT Investment committee for approval.
•Ensure capital expenditure within dossiers, budget and forecasts is aligned to the accounting standards and policies set by Iberdrola with specific focus on cloud.
•Tracking and reporting of benefits arising from projects and ensure they are agreed with the UK Business controllers.
•Manage the SAP budget availability process to ensure funding is aligned to project approvals and to ensure any changes required as approved through the change control process.
•Responsibility for reviewing financial change controls and approving in the project management tool and relevant changes made in the SAP financial systems through extra-ordinary budget requests.
•Producing monthly financial reporting packs with high level variance analysis including commitments of Capex budget for the UK IT Director, Management team, UK Control and Global IT monthly meetings.
•Consolidation of Capex budget and forecast into Global tools and systems.
•Work alongside the Demand planning manager to ensure internal salary capitalisation is, aligned to plan and included within the financial budgeting and forecasting processes.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
•Ability to communicate and present information across all levels within the organisation including global stakeholders.
•Have an awareness of the accounting standards and accounting policy of Iberdrola to ensure full compliance.
•The ability to produce accurate analysis and reporting under significant time and workload pressure.
•Computer literate with significant experience and expertise in the use of spreadsheets for reporting and modelling
