Job Description
Our charity client is currently recruiting for an Insurance Risk Advisor, duration 3 months with a possible extension for a further 3 months. Full time (34.5 hours), they are open to discussing how you work these hours. Location: Home-based /Split between home and their London Office: minimum one day in office. Salary Range: National: £33,500.00 to £37,500.00 London: £37,000.00 to £41,000.00.

About the role

As a subject matter expert, you will oversee the large-scale and complex insurance portfolio, ensuring areas of exposure are identified and adequately covered. You will be responsible for providing coverage aligned with organisational strategy and activity and assuring senior management of effective risk management.

You will recognise, assess and advise on emerging risks from strategic, project or BAU activity that may have insurance implications and ensure extensions of cover via external brokers are arranged as required.

You will lead on the renewal of the programme to source the best value cover for the company whilst minimising exposures and being accountable for recommendations that protect the charity's financial, reputational and legal liabilities.

About you

You will have a solid understanding of commercial insurance and the insurance market. Experience in managing an insurance portfolio within the charity sector would be advantageous. You will need a sound knowledge of contract and policy wording. You will be comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels of seniority throughout the organisation. Project management skills will be desirable (although not critical) and a recognised professional qualification equivalent to a CII Diploma level or above.
