Job Description
Excellent Head of Finance Transformation interim opportunity, for market leader based in Watford, to support the implementation of MS Dynamics.

Robert Walters are proud to be partnering with our high growth client, and support them with the recruitment for an interim Head of Finance Transformation, to assist them through this period of change and growth within the business.

The Head of Finance Transformation plays an integral role within the Group Finance team, enabling the team to support the business with improved outcomes more effectively through driving efficiencies and optimisation.

Reporting to the CFO, the role will lead the Finance team through a significant amount of change partnering closely with the IT team and members of the wider business where required.

Principal Responsibilities

Act as the finance lead for the Group ERP Transformation project. Single point of contact for Finance co-ordinating all aspects of the ERP implementation plan
Review, challenge and optimise processes in the finance function
Assess and implement short term improvement on the current SAGE and current ERP for finance
Undertake testing of the new system, to assess suitability of design, user testing, assessing the processes/controls and making recommendations for adjustments.
Assess current finance processes and controls (O2C, P2P, R2R) and manage transition to new finance processes and controls for the Group
Design and deliver a financial control framework which will enable a move from a substantive external audit approach to a controls-based audit
Supporting the CFO in documenting the new processes in finance
Support and up skill the team with new tools capability, systems implementation and maintenance
Create and maintain strategic road maps for the Finance teams Transformation journey
Set out project road maps, risks and issues
Partner with the Finance team to understand business context, issues and opportunities for change
Business Partner with the IT team
Supporting members of the team with change management engagement with other teams in the business
Working with third party consultants
Fully understand all internal and external legislation relevant to the role, including regulations and compliance.

Person Specification and Skills

Proven track record in a similar role in finance transformation and ERP implementation
Confident and approachable character, comfortable working in a sociable and fast-paced environment
Exceptional planning and organisational skills
Substantial analytical skills able to understand complex performance issues and advise and able to prioritise action plans to resolve
Excellent communication skills, capable of building strong professional relationships with internal stakeholders
Knowledge of accounting software (in particular Sage 200 and Microsoft Dynamics)
Proven track record of effective leadership and development
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills for managing senior level relationships and difficult performance management conversations
Demonstrated experience in finance ERP implementation roles
Project Management experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation knowledge
