Job Description
Robert Walters are excited to exclusively representing a hugely successful Manchester based blue-chip business as they look to appoint a high calibre Head of Commercial Finance to join the leadership team within their largest and most profitable division.
The is a senior leadership role reporting into a high calibre Finance Director and will see you playing a pivotal role in the support of commercial decision making. You will manage, coach and develop a team of 5 along with working closely with the Sales and Operational Directors to maximise trading performance and drive continued success.
The Role:
Partner with the Sales Director in order to understand trading volumes, deliver trading targets and ultimately drive trading performance.
Manage and develop a team of finance business partners and finance managers, setting development targets and offering guidance.
Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of quarterly go to market plans considering insight around pricing, investments, marketing, competition etc.
Lead projects including product strategy, commercial initiatives, and M&A activity.
Provide insight into both internal and market sector-wide risks and propose mitigating solutions to senior management.
Influence high profile decision making by challenging C-Suite initiatives using in-depth and accurate market information.
Assess, influence and improve trading performance e.g. sales volumes against target.
Act as governance including reviewing budgets, forecasts, risks and opportunities including analysis.
You as the Successful Individual:
Fully CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified with several years' PQE.
An excellent communicator with proven success of partnering with and influencing exec-level stakeholders.
Demonstrable commercial finance experience ideally from a fast-paced blue-chip business.
An established people leader, with several years of proven people management experience.
Proven experience of adding significant value and driving bottom line performance within a market leading business.
Adaptable to change, being able to work fast and with pace.
High energy, ambition, and commerciality. This role requires a self-motivated and focused individual who will quickly establish themselves as a key member of the senior leadership team within a £1billion+ turnover division of a market leading business. You will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and support teams across finance coupled with building positive relationships with exec-teams and leaders.
