Job Description
Job Title: Finance Technician

Location: York

Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday (9AM – 5PM)

Type of Contract: Permanent

Salary: £30,000 per annum

About the client:

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a long standing registered charity who began life in the 80's as a drug resource scheme, filling a gap by providing 'walk in' services for people experiencing problems with drugs – needle exchange, wound care, counselling, advocacy and support with housing and employment.

Understanding people's needs, creating motivation to change, removing barriers and developing solutions to long-term problems has become the underlying driver of our work over the last 30 years.

The Ideal Candidate:

You will be responsible for the maintenance of the financial ledgers to ensure all financial transactions of the organisation are properly authorised and accurately recorded. The analysis and reporting of financial performance to assists manager in the control of costs and the identification of improvement opportunities and process the monthly payroll and any ad hoc payments.

Expectations of the role:

Ensure all invoices received are correctly matched with a purchase order and enter on to the Sage 200 system.
Make sure that all invoice payments are paid in line with Compass terms and conditions.
Manage all payments and receipts through the bank account are correctly recorded.
Ensure month end management accounts fairly reflect the performance of the service.Compliance Requirements:

Enhanced Child And Adults DBS (Within 12 Months/Update Service Registered)
