Group Tax Accountant Job in North Dublin
Job Description
Group Tax Accountant
Tax isn’t just about numbers and functional data; it’s about influence, strategy, and communication. A supporting lynchpin to a successful business, you’re the eye for detail that problem-solves potential issues and pushes the process improvements that hold everything together.
Our client gets that a Tax Accountant and in-house specialist doesn’t have to be stuck in an eyes-down numberwang, bogged down in bureaucracy, and restricted from spearheading progressive change. The tenets of this job opportunity are influence, autonomy, and opportunity.
Forget being stuck in a niche or a pigeonhole, this Group Tax Accountant role will put you at the heart of business-wide engagement from senior management down to transaction-based staff. You’ll be empowered to communicate, advise, and inspire.
An ideal opportunity for a tax specialist who is eager to move into or establish themselves in industry, this role will focus on the Irish tax and accountancy environment but also offer the breadth, development and cross-training opportunities that come with a group-wide position, reporting directly to a UK Tax Manager.
You will be the driver of this role; you won’t be held back by a Tax Partner telling you what to do and where you go. You won’t be restricted and frustrated by unnecessary red tape. This is a new role, linked to the growth and size of the broader business.
Do You Offer…?
A professional accountancy qualification, such as ACCA
At least three years of post-qualification experience, working in a role equivalent to Group Tax Accountant and/or in a role providing tax services
Experience demonstrating initiative and work under your own capacity
A valid driving licence and transport
Our client is an industry-leading independent business. It’s clear how much its employees love, live and breathe their contribution. It’s a combination of stability and establishment versus the benefits of a people-focused company culture and relatively short lines of decision-making.
It’s the type of working environment where anyone could find themselves chatting to the CEO or CFO. People are prioritised, not taken for granted. There’s a healthy work-life balance, inclusive of good communication links for travel in and outside of Dublin. There are hybrid working options.
Your work will ensure tax compliance, process and procedures are robust, helping to avoid sanctions and third-party costs. With tax issues having become increasingly computerised and black and white, you’ll be the expert at the head of the controls.
If you like to work alone, focusing behind a closed door, this role isn’t right for you. Supporting the business on a group-wide basis, but chiefly focused on two sites, this role is key to supporting the whole business and you’ll regularly be delivering presentations and communicating advice.
The Extras…?
Included in the benefits for this role are a 5% matched pension, private medical insurance, life assurance, and mileage paid for travel. There are a host of additional people-focused benefits and perks that will be disclosed to you.

Candidates suitable against the core requirements (above) will be contacted for an informal discussion, during which full details of the role and company will provided prior to a mutual decision on whether to formally submit your details to our client and be shortlisted for an interview
