Job Description
Our client is a growing PLC who is seeking to hire a Group Reporting Accountant. The role will suit a ACA/ACCA or CIMA qualified Accountant who will promote best practice within financial reporting, ensuring compliance with latest accounting guidance and emerging international best practice. In addition, you will assist with various process improvement projects.

Responsibilities will be broad:

* Support the delivery of interim and year end reports for a listed company.

* Preparation of disclosures for interim statements and annual report.

* Responsible for disclosures, technical aspects and production of statutory accounts for subsidiary companies. Includes preparation of operating company statutory accounts (4 operating companies), and review of property and holding companies (c.20).

* Completion of iXBRL tagging of the statutory accounts.

* Completion of ESEF tagging of the year end financial statements.

* Completion of ONS surveys.

* Support in the external audit for group and statutory reporting – key point of contact for detailed queries.

* Ownership and process improvement of IFRS 16 lease accounting for the group.

* Ownership and process improvement of the Group intercompany accounting.

* Oversight of provisions for the Group, including managing budget to actuals on key projects.

* Oversight of key reporting lines, such as "Adjusting Items", "Rent, grants and Other".

* Assistance in month end close, with both preparation and review of journals.

* Assist in the month end close and monthly reporting to the Board, including two minority interests and quarterly calls with the minority interest directors to explain the numbers.

* Review of current process and seek continuous improvement

A salary of £50,000-£55,000 is on offer plus benefits
