Job Description
Our client is a successful media organisation who are seeking a proactive & experiences Group Payroll Assistant Manager to join them, initially on a 12 month FTC with the opportunity to extend.

This role will report into the Group Payroll Manager and will oversee the payroll team at operational level.

As Group Payroll Assistant Manager, your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

Provide managerial responsibility to the medium sized payroll team
Act as strong number two for the payroll manager
Support the payroll manager with ongoing payroll projects and system changes
Collation and distribution of workload for the team
Carry out 121s and appraisals
Escalation point for complex queries
Month and year end processing
Assist in management of Benefits in Kind and P11D reportingTo be a successful Group Payroll Assistant Manager, you'll require:

Extensive payroll processing experience
Hands on people management experience within a payroll function
Experience with project work/continuous improvement is desirable
