Job Description
Working within the HR team of this well known retail bank with international reach, your role will be to manage the Payroll for the UK business as a maternity cover for a min period of 12 months (likely to be more). Hybrid working.

Client Details

Banking organisation with international reach. Based in London (City area).

Description

Running a monthly UK payroll for c. 150 staff
Collation of monthly payroll data and changes such as new hires, termination, pay changes etc
Keeping up to date with payroll legislation
Being the first point of contact for answering payroll queries and maintaining the Payroll inbox
Onboarding new employees e.g. setting them up on both payroll and HR systems
Managing leavers e.g., processing paperwork, removing from systems etc centrally support the creation and maintenance of up-to-date Employment records on systems.
Checking hours/pay rate and ensuring authorisation prior to submission
Assist the Payroll Manager in proactively identifying gaps within the payroll process and escalate as necessary.
Make recommendations to streamline internal payroll processes.
Review all pre-payroll data and post-payroll data prior to ensure accuracy
Work on special projects and other related tasks as assignedProfile

Previous Payroll expertise essential.

Able to commit to a minimum period of 12 months as a fixed term contract.

Good interpersonal skills and able to communicate with all levels of stakeholders

Able to start a new role by mid to late November at the latest

Interest in Financial Services or Banking a bonus.
