Job Description
Morgan McKinley is proud to be working in partnership with a prestigious and highly acquisitive Group to recruit a commercially minded Group Financial Controller.
Role
In this high-profile and newly created role, the Group Financial Controller will partner with Regional Heads to providing operational, commercial and project challenge.
The Group Financial Controller will work closely with all departments across the business and build effective relationships. The Group Financial Controller will drive finance forward ensuring processes and systems are fit for purpose whilst also developing a business partnering offering to the Regional Heads and seeing the 'bigger picture'.
Responsibilities for the Group Financial Controller will include:
Take the lead in the development of annual budgets, forecasts and financial planning
Commercial and Operational support and challenge to drive performance improvements
Production of the monthly management accounts with detailed analysis and commentary around any variances
Provide analysis and insight into the performance of the business and constantly assessing risk and reward
Business Partnering with the Managing Director and Finance Director to plan Group capex and assess funding of capex spend.
Support the Finance Director with funding, assessment and integration of acquisitions and start ups
Manage and supervise the finance team including upskilling where required and development of staffProfile
It is essential the candidate is a Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
Excellent communication skills with proven stakeholder engagement skills
A strategic thinker
Strong Excel knowledge
Able to work within tight deadlines

Salary & Benefits
The role of Group Financial Controller has a range of £70,000 – £80,000, plus additional benefits.
