Job Description
Our client, an innovator in its specialist field and highly regarded FTSE 250, is looking to hire a credible Group Financial Controller, to lead its team on an initial interim basis for 6 months. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the role will offer great exposure to the Finance Director and other Exec members.

Main duties include:
* Managing quarterly, half yearly and annual reports process
* Preparing and consolidating monthly group management accounts
* Managing a team of 5 Accountants
* Managing the external audit whilst being a key point of contact for technical queries
* Assisting on group corporate treasury matters
* Assisting with the preparation of analysis and other ad hoc presentations and analysis for the CEO, Finance Director and Senior Management Team
* Understanding new accounting standards and assessing the impact to the Group

Key skills and experience includes:
* Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
* In depth knowledge of group reporting and consolidation process
* Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
* Proven management experience, capable of leading others effectively
* PLC experience would be preferred
* Strong Excel skills
