Job Description
ROLE OVERVIEW & KEY OBJECTIVES:

This role is key in forming, developing and aiding delivery of short and long-term business plan. The role will encompass forward looking traditional FP&A responsibilities such as budgeting and forecasting alongside commercial/financial analysis to assist the senior leadership team and ultimately the board in steering and growing the business.

The role is expected to work closely with the executive committee and assist in preparing extensive materials for the board.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Assist and occasionally lead in all aspects of the business planning including delivery of the company wide annual budgeting and quarterly re-forecasting process.

* Support the CEO and CFO through corporate finance activities and support the development of the Group's funding strategy.

* Adapt and improve the Group's long-term business planning and loan book models to the ever-changing requirements of the business.

* Become the businesses key resource and point of contact for IFRS 9. Accountable for monthly journals, updating and understanding key judgements alongside quarterly accounting papers and audit liaison

* Develop and maintain pricing models ensuring variable pricing leads to a robust and sound commercial offering

* Assist in delivering informative monthly financial reporting and key commercial analysis to executive committee and the board

* Work closely with and support the wider finance team during reporting cycles

* To undertake training as directed

* To attend meetings as directed.

* To undertake any other tasks as directed.

SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, EXPERIENCE & BEHAVIOURS REQUIRED:

ESSENTIAL:

* Highly numerate with strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset for problem solving

* 2+ years of experience in small to mid-cap companies within a finance/strategy/business development role or equivalent experience in consulting/due diligence

* Comfortable and experienced using and manipulating big datasets and highly proficient in excel

* Ability to model complex financial scenarios

* Excellent communication skills with all levels of management and board

DESIRABLE:

* Experience in a consumer credit business and working with IFRS 9 is desirable but not essential

* Experience and competency using SQL

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

ESSENTIAL:

* Fully/part qualified chartered accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) OR equivalent experience
