Fleet Maintenance Charge Hand- The Role:
We are looking for a customer focused Fleet Maintenance Charge Hand to assist the Fleet Maintenance Manager within a rapidly growing serviced hire and rental business.
The site operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
To succeed, you will have a keen eye for attention to detail and must be able to meet all last minute customer requests whilst remaining calm under the pressure so that excellent standards of customer service, efficiency and performance are always achieved.
Fleet Maintenance Charge Hand- Key Responsibilities:
– To support the Fleet Maintenance Manager with the daily work allocation and supervision of all workshop Technicians ensuring maximum utilisation of workshop resources in line with any / all applicable manufacturer standard times
– Ensure all workshop personnel create & complete Fleet Management System job Cards including accurate recording of all labour, parts & consumables
– To undertake repair and maintenance of company fleet assets
– To ensure all Vehicle Maintenance Unit (VMU) operating costs, including overheads are managed in accordance with the budget, this includes any / all requirements for overtime are pre-approved by Fleet Maintenance Manager
– Provide leadership by example, setting high standards for yourself and your team, ensuring they remain engaged and performance levels are maintained across all areas of VMU operation
– To deliver high levels of customer satisfaction to all Internal, and External clients
– Liaise with Fleet Maintenance Manager to ensure all Impress stocks & consumables levels are maintained, and any requirements for the increase or decrease in stock levels or the introduction of new supplier routes are communicated, for onward communication to the Supply Chain Manager for authorisation & procurement processes to be adhered to
– To be responsible for the management of accurate records covering maintenance and compliance of all assets maintained, including any external work streams undertaking, ensuring the swift dispatch of quotes, through to invoicing
– To comply with all company policies and procedures in its pursuit of continual development to achieve excellence in all work streams
– Attendance at meetings required by Head of Fleet, Fleet Maintenance Manager, Operations & Accounts Management Teams
Fleet Maintenance Charge Hand- You:
– Ability to Coach and Mentor staff on a daily basis
– Strong Management skills and experience of leading a team
– Leads and motivates staff through positive employee engagement through open communication
– Flexible in working hours and to be available for ‘out of hours’ contact / communication
– Good analytical and numerical skills
– Good knowledge of Microsoft / Excel applications
– Maintains own level of competence
– Experience of providing exceptional customer service
