Job Description
Financial Controller
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to lead the Finance team for the role of Financial Controller. We are looking to recruit a motivated, conscientious and flexible individual with a willingness to take responsibility, work as part of a team and to provide an efficient and responsive payroll & Financial reporting service.
* The Role:
* Produce weekly and monthly reports to agreed deadlines
* Produce weekly P&L Forecasts
* Working closely with the Finance team to ensure the efficient running of the payroll service which align to Finance processes and procedures.
* Perform routine calculations to produce analyses and reports as requested by the financial Controller
* Assist the financial controller in creating Forecasting and reporting Actuals on a regular basis
* Attend finance department and company-wide meetings, sometimes assisting with financial reporting to managers and senior executives.
* Collect and enter data for various financial spreadsheets
* Collate and report on Research and Development expenditure monthly
* Assist with all Audits including Financial Audits and Barclays sales Financing Yearly Audit
* Complete National Statistics form as received and report these to Group FC
* Barclays sales Finance Reconciliation (Monthly)
* Working with Engineering & NPI to ensure all Bill of materials are up to date and revise where necessary
* Reconciling Finance and Balance sheet accounts and posting Journals
* Weekly Consolidation of management Kaizen Reports to be sent to Site MD
* Recharge Calculations (Monthly)
* Stock reporting including slow moving stock and year end provisions
* VAT Returns (Quarterly)
* Credit checking of New and Old Customer
* Reconciliation of NL account codes
Requirements:
* Qualified (CIMA or ACCA)
* Proven experience within a finance office and leading a team
* Must be able to present financial information to a senior leadership team.
* Highly skilled in Excel
* Payroll experience (desirable)
* Manufacturing sector experience (highly desirable but not essential)
* Sound multi-tasking and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a complex and dynamic environment.
* Ability to reconcile reports.
* Able to analyse and follow policies and procedures.
* Working knowledge of appropriate legislative and regulatory requirements
