Job Description
Financial Controller
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000
Benefits: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, free on site parking and potential bonus scheme
Location: Hull
Are you up for a really hands on Financial Controller role? If so, this could be the one for you. My client is based in Hull, operates in the manufacturing sector and needs a qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) accountant to take over the day to day control of the finance function.
THE ROLE:
Reporting directly into the Managing Director the role requires broad based accounting skills and the ability to liaise right across a business including non finance colleagues. Duties will include:
Daily ledger
Invoice finance line management
Daily and weekly reports
Preparation of monthly management accounts
Provide banking support
Year-end support
Preparation of cashflow, forecasts, budgets, VAT
Supervision of an accounts clerk
A variety of ad hoc duties as and when required
THE CANDIDATE:
An ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant, you need to have excellent communication and inter-personal skills combined with the resilience and ability to work to tight deadlines. Due to the nature of the business there is sometimes a need to work under pressure in order to achieve the required outcome therefore the role will suit a candidate who enjoys challenge and relish an environment undergoing rapid change and restructure.
You are organised, have strong technical accounting skills and work with accuracy using sound investigative and analytical skills to provide the management information required on a regular basis.
Previous experience of Sage systems would be advantageous.

The business forms part of a small privately owned group of companies operating in the manufacturing sector and is based in Hull. Turnover is currently around £8.5m rising to £15m in the near future.
THE BENEFITS:
