Job Description
Job title: Financial Control Analyst
Location: Camberley
Duration: 6 months initially
The Role:
As part of GHR Shared Services (HRSS), the HR Finance & Operations Team is responsible for supporting the financial & banking operational components of Payroll, Compensation and Benefits processing.
Responsibilities:
· Ensure daily liquidity levels are met within each of the bank accounts under responsibility.
· Daily and Monthly Bank Reconciliation including full categorisation of all inward and outward payments followed by the appropriate posting into the ledger
· Liaison with banking vendors to ensure service provided is within expectations and follow up on beneficiary queries.
· Where required review and authorise payments from our bank account(s) ensuring all internal controls have been adhered to.
· Manage new users to our banking applications and ensure they have the appropriate access.
· Assist in the reconciliation of HR control and suspense accounts and monthly reporting on the status of these accounts.
· Oversight of all related GL entries related to entities of responsibility and ensure pay element mapping is accurate and up to date.
· Production of reports and statistical analysis as required i.e. monthly variance analysis.
· Production and management of desktops and documentation on current processes.
· HR Accrual booking & analysis
· HR Projects where there is an impact to our Banking Operations, Ledger entries
Requirements:
· Understand the importance of the accuracy required to perform the standards expected at all times and understand the importance of meeting deliverable times.
· Ability to work on your own initiative and think proactively;
· Excellent PC skills – in particular Microsoft Excel
· A proven ability to prioritise and organise workload on a changing basis.
· Excellent communication skills (written & oral) as this role will liaise with multiple teams cross the organisation.
· Excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
· Have good analytical skills and should display initiative in proposing improvements to the current process.
· Awareness of the need for professional behaviour to all internal and external parties
· Team player with positive and flexible attitude.
· Organised and the ability to priorities workload
· Have the ability to become proficient with all internal/external systems e.g. Oracle Financials, Recon/Frontier.
· Ability to learn new systems & workflows quickly.
· Strong analytical skills.
