Job Description
Simpson Judge are partnered with a non-profit organisation located in Nantwich who are looking to appoint a Financial Accountant into their friendly team. Supporting the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the year end process, treasury and income collection. This role is hybrid with flexible working hours and would suit someone ACCA/CIMA part qualified, AAT qualified may be considered.

Responsibilities:
* Managing a small team consisting of a Cashier, Sales Ledger Manager and other staff as required – including recruitment, training and development
* Maintaining internal control systems including overseeing of bank and income collection reconciliations
* Ensuring timely preparation of audit information and schedules
* Producing and reviewing VAT returns and other statutory returns including CIS
* Participating in project work to support the development of robust and effective management and financial reporting
* Providing support to the Management Accountant
* Managing the year end process including the preparation of draft financial statements
* Managing the treasury management strategy
* Managing the income collection process including invoicing, debt recovery and accounting
* Managing legal requirements, including preparation of budgets and fee statements
* Lead in maintaining and supervising the income collection system ensuring accuracy and integrity of the income collection data

Requirements:
* ACCA/CIMA part qualified – AAT qualified may be considered
* Advanced Excel skills.
* Strong technical accounting skills.
* Strong data manipulation skills are essential
* Excellent report writing skills
* Previous experience of managing a team would be advantageous
* Knowledge of various accounting systems
