Job Description
Are you an experienced Financial Accountant looking for a new challenge with an increased salary and hybrid remote working opportunity? 

BMC Recruitment Group are delighted to be working alongside an organisation in the Co.Durham area who are looking to recruit a strong Financial Accountant on a full time permanent contract. 
  
As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial accounts for three groups within the organisation and will be responsible for the management and development of an Assistant Accountant.  You will also be responsible for helping to drive a new ERP systems implementation project in a varied and interesting role.

This is a hybrid remote working role with 2 days in the office and 3 days at home. 
  
Job duties include: 

Preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with local GAAP for assigned entities
Preparing all the necessary adjustments required for regulatory reporting and UK/US GAAP
Assisting with the co-ordination of the month end close timetable
Local regulatory reporting including regulatory statements on a quarterly and annual basis
Ensuring that appropriate controls over regulatory reporting exist and that these are operating effectively
Preparation of all company tax returns and documentation including VAT, Corporation tax returns etc.…
Managing UK Cash Flow
Lead role in year-end statutory audits
Contribute to the improvement of new ERP system including ongoing streamline internal procedures
Finance representative on Companywide Compliance team
Professional Experience and Personal Attributes

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
Qualified ACA or ACCA (min 2 years PQE)
US GAAP, UK taxation
Comfortable working to deadlines, organised with good time management
Excellent analytical skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail
Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
Integrity and honesty
