Job Description
Adele Carr Financial Recruitment is partnering up with a growing, SME organisation in Liverpool who are keen to appoint a proven, Finance Manager on a full time, permanent basis.

This is a pivotal role within the business, supporting the MD and board of Directors with financial reporting and business performance.

As the go to person in accounts, you will take ownership of running the finance department and team, ensuring management accounts, cash flow and VAT is recorded accurately.

You will be a self-motivated, hardworking individual, who is seeking to work for a company who will value your work and appreciate your input.

The ideal applicant will possess leadership qualities with the confidence and expertise to manage this level of role. The client is flexible on qualifications and applicants who are qualified by experience will be considered. (Must be at least AAT qualified or hold similar qualification).

The successful new appointment will enjoy a level of autonomy and responsibility. He/she will be able to make this role their own and put their own stamp on it. You will be responsible for training and developing the team to deal with increased workloads and growth.

Someone who can see the big picture and can come up with new ideas to improve processes and controls would be ideal.

The Finance Manager will be responsible for:

Supporting the board and MD with financial reporting
Heading up the accounts function and ensuring all processes and procedures are robust and fit for purpose
Supervising and training the team, 2 direct reports
Ensuring management accounts are accurately produced including variance analysis
Ensure control accounts are balanced monthly
Prepare quarterly VAT returns
Bank reconciliations, cash flow forecast
Produce budgets, forecasting
Manage purchase and sales ledger transactions
Perform payment runs, manage vendors and suppliers, queries
Assist with year-end accounts, liaise with auditorsThe ideal applicant, will be:

Seeking to work in Liverpool on a permanent basis
Familiar to working in an SME environment and taking on responsibility
A proven, professional accountant who is pro-active and hands-on
Capable of working well under pressure, meeting deadlines with minimal supervision
Possess strong communication, analytic and organisational skills
Ability to work with individuals across the business and liaise with external customers, suppliers, and contacts
Good knowledge of MS Excel, SageRecruitment Process
This is a 2 stage interview process with interviews being pencilled in for next week.
