Fantastic Opportunity for a Payroll Analyst to join an Education Client in Central London within the Payroll team.

The ideal candidate will have:

A comprehensive knowledge of PAYE and Payroll Procedures including processing statutory payments and manual calculations.
Experience of using a HR and payroll database (Oracle would be an advantage).
High level of numeracy skills with the ability to undertake manual and often complex calculations, supported by the use of spreadsheets.
Relevant experience of working within a payroll team processing a payroll and providing teamwork and support in order to ensure all relevant actions have been undertaken by relevant deadlines.

Responsibilities:

To ensure accurate and timely salary payments are made to employees and workers.
To provide guidance, advice, and information to employees and managers on complex pay and reward related benefits, related policies, and pay, income tax and social security legislation.
To work with the other HR Services colleagues to ensure all transactions are processed accurately in the system and within published service standards and/or process deadlines.
Assist with the daily running of the Payroll system so that it is accurate in line with best practice and supports HR policy and process and organisational structure and is compliant from a payroll perspective.
Responsible for processing of relevant HMRC forms including P45, P60 etc
Monitor all staffing changes that affect payroll output including starters, secondments, transfers, leavers and other amendments to salaries and employee data in a compliance with policy and payroll requirements.
Responsible for the maintaining and updating of pay records for employees and workers via the integrated HR/Payroll system, document management system in accordance with procedures and service standards
Work with the Payroll Manager to ensure all colleagues and ex gratia pensioners are paid on time and accurately adhering to policy and legislation.
Responsible for the running and of both pre and post payroll exception reports, and any remedial action necessary to correct any exceptions or errors.
Assist, and in senior analyst absence be responsible for running of all cyclical pay runs up to stage of sign of by the Payroll manager.
