Financial Accountant, Banbury, Salary is ABOVE the market rate for a Management accountant, PLUS benefits

This role will be to cover maternity leave. Contract for 12 months

*£3000 after 12 months

Job Description of a Financial Accountant

The postholder will process and post cash book transactions, prepare business reports when require and assist with Month-end close, including all payroll, tax & Intercompany journals.

Assist with Year End reconciliations and reporting, prepare balance sheet accounts, highlighting and resolving any variances.

Preparation of UK Vat Returns (Consolidated for two sites).

Completion of National Statistic Surveys

Reconcile Duty Account

Annual Insurance Returns.

Lease accounting

Preparation of Statutory Accounts.

Assist in preparation of Tax Accounts.

Lead Internal, External and SOX Audits.

Adherence to SOX and maintenance of procedures within area of responsibility.

SOX Audits of specific areas under other team member’s control.

Assist with day-to-day processing, queries and account maintenance within Sales Ledger

Skills & experience of a Financial Accountant

Part qualified Accountant/fully qualified AAT

Experience of VAT returns and reconciliation

A good eye for detail, be able to solve problems efficiently and have an analytical approach.
