Job Description
Job title: Financial Accountant

Type: permanent (full time)

Location: Ampthill – Bedfordshire

Clearance level: Ability to obtain or currently hold SC Clearance

Salary: £46,000

Day to day responsibilities include:

Preparation of annual statutory accounts.
Leading on external statutory audit.
Completion of month and quarter end reporting.
Preparation of VAT Returns.
Capital Expenditure and Fixed Asset accounting.
Foreign currency transactions.
Completion of internal audit procedures.
Working closely with senior team members.
Point of contact for company insurance policies.
Assisting with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.

Skills & Requirements:

Required skills, qualifications and experience

Qualified Accountant with post qualification experience.
Strong IT skills particularly in Microsoft Excel.
Experience of dealing with external auditors preferred.
Understanding of VAT regulations.
Keen eye for detail with an ability to work to strict deadlines.
Ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner.
