Job Description
Role: Finance Operations Manager

Location: Head Office, London. Hybrid working possible

Salary: £42,444 per annum.

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week

The client is a charity offering services and support to victims of domestic abuse.

Key Accountabilities

Managing the team responsible for day-to-day accounting operations including income and invoice processing, staff and volunteer expenses
Completing timely financial month end processes according to Finance Timetable
Managing/preparing prepayments/deferred income and accruals schedules working closely with the Finance business partners
Completing balance sheet reconciliations monthly
Reviewing bank reconciliations and post journals as required
Ensuring maintenance of the fixed asset register and depreciation recorded monthly
Managing and coaching Finance Officers for AP and AR to ensure an efficient transactional finance team, ensuring they perform to a high standard and deliver in line with Refuge's values and achieve their objectives
Approving payments in line with financial policies, as well as approving Soldo transfers, new users, vouchers and credit card users.
Maintaining authorisation guidelines and timetable for approvals
Developing and improving appropriate and effective finance controls

Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Personal Qualities

Significant experience of finance in a charity, or the public sector or similarPart qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or demonstrable equivalent experience
