Job Description
Finance Manager

Based in Luton, Bedfordshire our ambitious client is looking for a part qualified/ Qualified by experience Finance Manager to join their expanding finance team on a permanent basis.

This job would suit a CIMA or ACCA Studier from Industry or an ACA qualified accountant from a small/ medium sized business with at least 3 years' finance experience, to be responsible for a team of 2 undertaking financial accounting tasks across the business and deliver consistent and quality results within specific deadlines and timelines.

The company is a PE backed services business providing their niche offering across the UK. They have a great reputation within their industry and have plans to grow the business significantly over the coming years with investment already in place. The company are big on personal development with well respected in-house training programmes.

The successful individual will be part qualified ACCA or CIMA with previous experience of working on key financial accounting details or will be an ACA qualified accountant looking for their first move into Industry from Practice. They will have the ability to establish and maintain good client relationships, both internally and externally at all levels. The finance manager will need to have intermediate Excel skills and experience with Sage would be extremely advantageous.

Job responsibilities:

Guidance and support for a small finance team
Strong experience of P&L reporting
Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts and handle the daily cash flow management
Daily control of account postings for both of the two business sectors
Support and proactively develop the financial controls regime
Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Prepayments and Accruals
Multiple Vat returns for divisional accounting
Assist with year-end audit and tax work.
Adhering to UK GAAP.
Supporting the team in developing continuous improvement across processes and controls.
