The purpose of this role is to provide financial insight to the Directors of the business in order to support the continued success of the business. You will be responsible for the smooth running of the finance function and the successful management of a team. You will be pro-active and professional in your approach and will enjoy not only ensuring best practice and having a strategic element to your role, but also will enjoy rolling your sleeves up and taking a hands-on approach to the day-to-day responsibilities as well.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT EXCLUSIVE TO:

Responsible for the day-to-day finance function, including maintaining ledgers, ensuring month-end reconciliations are performed and all financial transactions are properly recorded and reported
Oversee all inward and outward financial transactions
Manage the reporting of all sales taxes and other related taxes
Responsibility for submission of the companies returns to FCA and similar bodies
Manage the submission of all employee related tax documentation
Manage the shareholder/director certificate register and filed accordingly
Managing the company dividends process, including all documentation
Filing of all Companies' documents with relevant authorities, ensuring all company registers are up to date
Production of monthly directors' pack, including management accounts with commentary and cash-flow forecast within deadlines, providing important insight and information for the running of the business
Assist in business planning, forecasting and production of annual budgets
Identify and present financial changes which will impact the business
Provide insight and information to the Directors to support commercial strategic decision making
Leads and develops the finance team to provide an excellent service and respond to any requirements from the business
Proactively managing the performance of all direct reports, providing support and development opportunities, to ensure that all individuals are delivering their role effectively
Collaborate with the Operations Manager to ensure a smooth running of monthly payroll, including pensions and other staff benefits received
Lead the annual audit process SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
Sound and proven practical experience working within the finance function within a similar organisation ideally within a SME
Capability to act as Finance Business Partner to Board
Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally
Proficient with cloud‐based accounting software
Excellent analytical skills
