Job Description

Our client, an award-winning Digital Marketing Agency based in Chester, have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to join the team and take responsibility for the accounting and maintenance of the books and the day to day bookkeeping tasks, with the support of a full time Junior Bookkeeper. You will oversee the management of the accounts for all companies sat within the group although we do plan to recruit a Finance Director in the coming months to support you too. With the range of tasks and management that each company requires, we are looking for someone with a steady head who’s not flustered by having to work across a number of organisations.

Key Responsibilities:
* Ensuring all supplier invoices have the appropriate approvals
* Sales invoicing
* Ensure accuracy of postings to correct ledgers
* Validating and posting our VAT returns
* Working with our invoice finance company and our account managers to ensure our debtors book is kept clean and verified
* Reviewing staff expenses, ensuring all back-up and approvals are provided, and correctly coded to projects and chart of accounts
* Processing supplier invoices and staff expenses in accordance with policies
* Assisting invoice finance team with credit control
* Processing supplier payments
* Journal postings, accruals and prepayments, intercompany accounts
* Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
* Uploading payment runs for approvals
* Supporting the SMT and CEO in the housekeeping of control accounts and month-end close
* Handling daily communications with suppliers
* Analyse all accounting records and ensure financial data is reliable and gives a true and fair view of the financial position
Skills:
* Possessing relevant qualification or qualification by experience
* Expert in Xero essential
* Experience in ecommerce accounting very useful
* Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
* Integrity and professional ethics
