Job Description
Overview

The Finance Business Partner will be part of the Finance team on the Sheffield Highways PFI contract. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will work closely with Commercial and Operations Managers to provide a clear view of business performance, driving forward successful decision making and business performance. You will also be responsible for monthly accounts production, and the budgeting and forecasting reporting, working closely with the Finance team.

Location: flexible, but ability to spend time in the Sheffield office 1 or 2 days per week would be preferred

What we are looking for:

Qualified (ACCA/CIMA) with significant post qualification experience
Extensive experience of business forecasting and modelling
Highly developed communication skills
Ability to form working relationships with operations and commercial colleagues to drive effective decision making
Experience of working within Infrastructure environment, specifically Highways, Rail, Construction would be preferred.
Proficient in the use and manipulation of data within MS Excel
Knowledge of SAP would be a distinct advantageWhat this role will involve:

Preparation of monthly management accounts
Taking responsibility for cost allocation on the Sheffield contract
Completion of a monthly group reporting pack
Preparation of business budgets and forecasts and managing actual performance against the latest budget/forecast
Management of the contract cash forecast
Responsible for reporting Aged WIP and Balance Sheet reconciliations
Variance analysis for the Opex and Overhead sections of the P&L, including reconciliations of salaries, fleet and material costs
Working with senior management including operations and commercial colleagues to drive effective decision making
