Finance Assistant Job in Stamford, Lincolnshire

Job Description
We are looking for a Finance Assistant to work at a well established, worldwide procurement and supply firm.

Our client offers a negotiable 24 to 28 hour work week, spread over 4 or 5 days with a 12 month fixed-term contract so ideal if you are looking for a bit of flexibility.

The client is looking for essential experience in a similar role such as Purchase or Sales Ledger where you are used to transactional processing. Experience in using accounting software (Sage X3 being an distinct advantage)

Desired experience in dealing with customers and suppliers and Accountancy or Bookkeeping Qualifications such as AAT would also be an advantage but is not essential.

Your day would consist of some of the following tasks.

Processing PO purchase ledger invoices
• Uploading purchase ledger invoices onto Finance system
• Assisting with processing of payment runs for purchase ledger
• Processing manual sales ledger invoices
• Sending out sales ledger invoices to customers
• Receipting bank payments to sales ledger across all entities
• Helping with basic sales ledger queries
• Sending copy invoices and statements to customers
• Basic journal entries
• Ad hoc administrative duties as required
