Job Description
Our client is seeking a Finance Assistant to join their internal finance team based in the Oldbury office. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual who possesses excellent communication skills with a desire to begin a career in finance and develop new skills. You will have the opportunity to earn a basic salary between £20,000 – £25,000 per annum.
THE ROLE
The purpose of this role is to take responsibility to assist in providing a professional and timely accounts assistant service to Cover fees ledger cashbook at busy periods and holidays, including bank downloads, identifying
and posting cash to debtor's ledger and general finance duties as and when required.

TYPICAL DAILY JOB DUTIES – WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?
– Cover fees ledger cashbook at busy periods and holidays, including bank downloads, identifying and posting cash to debtor's ledger.
– Allocating unidentified receipts when requested by the credit control team and cashier.
– Saving remittances into the credit control notes in PDM.
– Cover for daily cashbook reconciliations.
– Assist in the set-up of the company car database and keep it up to date.
– Raising ad-hoc invoices and credit notes.
– Assistance in the maintenance of PDM database.
– Assist with purchase ledger team during busy period including processing of expenses and
– invoices.
– General finance duties as and when required.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
– To have experience in a telephony customer service role or experience in an administrative role.
– To have good knowledge and understanding of credit control roles.
– Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage own workload in a timely manner while all the time ensuring we exceed client expectations.
– A strong customer service focus and the ability to build effective working relationships within the finance team, other employees, partners and external suppliers.
– To be able to work to instructions effectively, in a team environment and to process deadlines.
– High attention to detail and, logical, and orderly in approach.
– Sound working knowledge of MS Windows-based software packages, including word
– processing, spreadsheets, databases, electronic mail, and the internet.
SALARY
£20,000 – £25,000 per annum
HOURS
Monday – Friday
Flexible working hours 9am – 5pm
