Job Description
Antony James Recruitment Ltd are delighted to have partnered with a Global Production Management company based in Wakefield in recruiting a Finance Assistant. You will be assisting the finance team in managing, processing and troubleshooting various accounts and transactions.
Main Duties
Create, send, and follow up on invoices
Matching purchase invoices to delivery notes and checking goods are received in the accounting software
Reconciliation of supplier statements as required
Processing of purchase invoices and credit notes
Reconcile any discrepancies or errors identified by conversing with employees and/or clients
File invoices and statements
Deal with purchase enquiries
Process Petty Cash
Collate receipts and code virtual Credit Card statement
Other general admin duties as required
Reporting and analysis for the different purchase ledgers
Provide support across all areas of the accounts team
Adhere to the company's financial policies and procedures
Answers queries and assists stakeholders, customers, and clients as needed
Suggest changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost reductions.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience within a finance team
Strong I.T skills and the ability to learn bespoke I.T systems quickly
Microsoft Excel
Good communication skills
