What you’ll do
• Purchase invoice processing
• Handling all supplier invoices and credit notes
• Identify and investigate any price variance – obtain appropriate approval for any differences
• Supplier payment run processing
• Monitor email inbox
• Supplier statement reconciliation – requesting copies of invoices/credit notes
• Dealing with supplier invoice & payment queries
• Regularly request supplier statements to ensure an up-to-date information flow of invoices to finance
• Any other ad-hoc tasks as required in supporting the finance team
Experience you need
• Previous experience of working in an Accounts/Purchase Ledger role required
• Knowledge of Sage One/50 software desirable but not essential
• Computer literacy skills including ability to use Microsoft office’s, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to analyse, interpret and report on relevant information
• A commitment to ongoing professional development
• Ability to share knowledge, problem solve with a focus on solutions and contribute towards process improvement wherever possible.
• Willing to work Saturdays on a rota, and some evenings
• Driving licence and use of own vehicle
