Seymour John are proud to be partnering with a national consultancy who seek to recruit an additional Accounting Manager into their finance team based in Shrewsbury. This is a newly created role and would be suitable for a 1st time mover from practice or someone with a strong financial accounting background. You will ideally be a qualified accountant, but my client is open minded to speaking with part or qualified by experienced finance professionals. In this role you will manage a portfolio of clients, supporting on ad hoc projects and deputising for the Head of Client Accounting as required. There is a career development pathway whereby you can initially focus more on delivering a great accounting service to your clients, develop more into a people manager as your knowledge grows, and ultimately progress into the Head of Client Accounting position.
KEY TASKS:
* Preparation of year-end financial accounts for limited companies, partnerships, sole traders, charities and trusts. The accounts are produced in excel using data from our TRAMPS and Reapit systems.
* Preparation of contract farming accounts
* Liaising with third parties (e.g., accountants) and clients in providing information and reports as required.
* Liaising with surveyors and clients over the preparation of cash flows and budgets and reconciliation thereof
* Team management including carrying out staff appraisals and interviewing new staff
* Management of our standard operating procedures
* Ensuring compliance with the RICS and HMRC regulations
* Payroll process management
