Job Description

Office Angels Livingston are collaborating with one of our clients who are recruiting for a new employee to join their growing team as a Finance Assistant to specifically support with Purchase Ledger duties on a permanent basis. The role is perfect for someone who is available immediately, has proven experience in a similar role and who has interest and experience in purchase ledger. A qualification in AAT is a must! We are looking for an enthusiastic team player. The job will include the processing of supplier invoices, payment runs and reconciliation of the purchase ledger and bank accounts. Based in Linlithgow West Lothian, Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm with the option of hybrid working.

Duties & responsibilities to include:

Supporting the Assistant Financial Controller in the day-to-day running of the finance department.
Daily management of invoices including audit of purchase and raising of sales invoices, along with correct support paperwork
Maintaining and recording the entries within the credit card & expenses account
Reconciliation of purchase ledger and company bank accounts
Working closely with the customer relationship team to provide financial support and Operational Reports to clients and suppliers.
Taking an active involvement in identifying and implementing initiatives, which support the efficient operation of the business
Working as part of an efficient teamSkills and Experience required:

Ability to work accurately at pace and to deadlines
AAT qualification is essential
Demonstrable experience in purchase ledger and preferably other areas of Finance
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with our suppliers in a polite and effective manner
Sage 50
Attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work within a team environment
