The Role:
12 months FTC
£23,000 – £25,000 pro rota if part-time hours.
On-site parking
Immediate start
32 hours – 37.5 hoursDay to day responsibilities
Sales ledger & reporting
Allocation and posting of customer receipts, follow up and resolution of queries
Month end customer statement process
Credit control – review and chasing of overdue accounts, placing accounts on hold and provide report with overdue debt that requires escalation to Regional Sales Managers
Preparation of month end reports for key customer groups and reconciliation to sales ledger
Preparation of sales figures as requested by Regional Sales Managers (support to Finance Manager for sales information reporting) including adhoc sales analysis
Key finance contact for customers and support to Customer Care team for queries on customer accounts
Customer Care; Support the Customer Care team when needed, tasks could include: Processing orders/returns/credits via Sage, direct contact with customers and working with the Account Managers.
Purchase ledger; Matching purchase invoices to orders, delivery notes and processing invoices
Expenses; Review/checking of expense claims and corporate card statements, summarising in Excel and posting to SAGE
Petty Cash; Administer petty cash including end of month reconciliation and posting to ledger
VAT; Obtaining back up for quarterly VAT return and support to Finance Manager in preparation of VAT returnAbout you?
MUST be fully competent in all purchase ledger functions
Experience as a Finance Assistant in a small in house Accounts Team
Fantastic communication skills
First class numeracy skills and accurate data entry
