Job Description
A reputable, very successful, multi-office Independent Financial Planner with links to several accountancy practices currently requires an experienced Employee Benefits Consultant, a Desk Based EB Consultant, to join its friendly team in its Chelmsford or Bath office.

Purpose of Role:
To actively manage a portfolio of clients, providing excellent client service and spotting further opportunities through understanding your client's needs. To proactively grow, manage and retain clients, by developing new business opportunities. To collaborate with the Corporate Financial Planners and Business Development Manager to deliver Auto Enrolment Workplace Pensions to new clients
Relationship Management
Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
Have the skill knowledge and experience to develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing introducers.
Ensure all clients receive the highest quality of customer service on an ongoing basis.
Conduct virtual meetings with clients using the company process to identify clients' needs.
Spot opportunities for growth of revenue within current client bank, specifically; Up selling and cross selling within EB e.g., Pensions/HRW, selling additional services such as Member Charging, guidance days, Employee education seminars and Pension Scheme Governance.
Spot opportunities for My Benefits World, benefits platform.
Actively manage all leads passed from the EB team, Professional Introducers, Wealth Management Financial Planners, and Corporate Wealth Management with a view to successfully secure as EB Clients.
Develop employer relationships (profile all senior management, client satisfaction, new opportunities to understand the client's needs).
Develop and maintain relationships with Corporate Financial Planners and Corporate Client Executive team to ensure seamless client service.Revenue and Business Development
Formulate and agree a business plan each year.
Ensure that sales targets are met or exceeded each month, quarter, and year.
Identify and maximise new sales opportunities; take the appropriate steps to secure the business.
Identify appropriate industry events to represent the business and seek new business opportunities.
Develop and maintain a contract strategy based on various communication methods, i.e., virtual meetings/telephone calls/emails and networking.
Work closely with all colleagues, build relationships to maximise new business opportunities.
Liaise with our key partners to produce campaigns via mail shots, e-shots, and website to generate new business opportunities.
Develop and deliver presentations to introducers and employees when required, outlining our proposition and service.
Understand all products within the employee benefits portfolio and identify opportunities to cross sell and promote other services, such as advice in the workplace.
Attend and present at planned focussed EB events during the year in conjunction with the Senior Wealth Manager and other EB team members aimed at attracting new EB clients to the business.Compliance
Adhere to our compliance standards in all processes, including Treating Customers Fairly
Guidance when given, is delivered in a compliant manner recording all stages from fact-finding to research to final presentation in a report or letter format. Any verbal advice must be documented suitably and subsequently recorded in writing as a file note.
Manage activity and administration to demonstrate best practice that will meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
Ensure all company procedures and guidelines are adhered to.
Ensure that all calls made are in line with FCA regulations.Work Experience
Proven successful track record in target driven environment.
Previous experience of working as an Employee Benefits consultant.
Demonstrable evidence of delivering successfully in a similar role.
Proven experience of understanding clients' needs and providing focussed solutions with successful results.
Experience in developing relationships within the Employee Benefits arena.
Experience achieving/exceeding financial targets. Skills & Qualifications
Demonstrable knowledge of the Pension, Health, Risk & Wellbeing marketplace, products, and services.
Ability to agree financial objectives and achieve/exceed them.
Excellent inter-personal, verbal, and written communication skills
Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to work as part of a wider team
Commitment to providing high level of customer service and has experience of building relationships at corporate events.
A self-motivated individual with the ability to generate leads and cultivate new client opportunities
Ability to agree financial objectives and achieve/exceed them
Excellent commercial awareness and industry knowledge
Ability to use all Microsoft packages, Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointDesirable
Diploma qualified or equivalent
