Job Description
This global organisation are looking for a Data Architect to join a busy team working to improve the existing technology used by the business.
Typical duties will include, but are not limited to: Work with analysts and external vendors turning large-scale unstructured data in to meaningful data, Manage and develop data vendor relationships, Lead integration of diverse datasets and systems, Design/implement data management – monitoring quality and cleaning processes, Develop automation routines to utilize big-data/databases and Design/develop pipelines for data in various formats.
The role is very much hands-on and needs a confident and skilled data architect to work across multiple areas designing and documenting AWS architecture. It will require a good problem-solver and communicator.
Candidates will have: Recent experience of creating new processes for data transformation, data structures, metadata, and workload management; and have the ability to influence technical and business partners They will be will be educated to degree level and will possess excellent analytical, interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
Experience in the following will be needed: Cloud AWS data services & design, be proficient in SQL & Python, PostgreSQL and SISS. Advanced skills in data visualisation, and data science. A strong professional network in research and/or commodities markets would be advantageous.
