Job Description
Credit Controller // Manchester // 35 hrs per week // Hybrid once trained

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced credit controller who is currently between roles or about to end an assignment. The role will be for a minimum of 3 months but there is the potential for longer / permanent work due to ongoing restructure.

The role is based on the outskirts of Manchester, in walking distance of the city centre, and offers great work life balance due to the 35 hr week and option to work hybrid between home and office once trained

The role involves:

Management of your designated customer accounts, ensuring that all information is up to date, and accurately reflects the position of the outstanding balance.
Pro-active collection of outstanding debt in accordance with pre-defined credit terms.
Ensuring all queries are recorded.
Ensuring day to day information and communication with external debtors is recorded on the Credit Control system.
Able to deal with difficult conversations in a sensitive manner
Monitoring and negotiating instalment plans in line with the credit policy and procedures.
Ensuring debt collection targets and office weekly and monthly KPI's are achieved
Raising sales ledger adjustment documents to correct errors on accounts
To escalate debtors for non-payment of accounts to team leader / manager

Skills required

Previous experience of B2B payments collection
Previous experience of payment allocation and updating of finance systems
A confident telephone manner and a mature and sensitive approach
A desire to meet targets
Excellent organisational skills
Someone who values team working
